End-to-End Deep Learning for Driver Distraction Recognition

چکیده
In this paper, an end-to-end deep learning solution for driver distraction recognition is presented. In the proposed framework, the features from pre-trained convolutional neural networks VGG-19 are extracted. Despite the variation in illumination conditions, camera position, driver’s ethnicity, and genders in our dataset, our best fine-tuned model, VGG-19 has achieved the highest test accuracy of 95% and an average accuracy of 80% per class. The model is tested with leave-onedriver-out cross validation method to ensure generalization. The results show that our framework avoided the overfitting problem which typically occurs in low-variance datasets. A comparison between our framework with the state-of-the-art XGboost shows that the proposed approach outperforms XGBoost in accuracy by approximately 7%.

متن کاملAttribute Recognition from Adaptive Parts
Previous part-based attribute recognition approaches perform part detection and attribute recognition in separate steps. The parts are not optimized for attribute recognition and therefore could be sub-optimal. We present an end-to-end deep learning approach to overcome the limitation. It generates object parts from key points and perform attribute recognition accordingly, allowing adaptive spa...
متن کاملMultitask Learning with Low-Level Auxiliary Tasks for Encoder-Decoder Based Speech Recognition
End-to-end training of deep learning-based models allows for implicit learning of intermediate representations based on the final task loss. However, the end-to-end approach ignores the useful domain knowledge encoded in explicit intermediate-level supervision. We hypothesize that using intermediate representations as auxiliary supervision at lower levels of deep networks may be a good way of c...
متن کاملDeep Multiple Instance Learning for Zero-shot Image Tagging
In-line with the success of deep learning on traditional recognition problem, several end-to-end deep models for zero-shot recognition have been proposed in the literature. These models are successful to predict a single unseen label given an input image, but does not scale to cases where multiple unseen objects are present. In this paper, we model this problem within the framework of Multiple ...
